OSU men finish spring soccer

PORTLAND, Ore. - Oregon State wrapped up its spring soccer season Sunday with a 2-1 loss to the State Select team at Portlands Merlo Field. The Beavers were 2-1-2 this spring in their first competition under new head coach Dana Taylor.
"We had a productive spring season," Taylor said. "We got a chance to look at a lot of players, and I feel good about what we can do next fall."
The State Select team, which is based at UP, led 1-0 at halftime on Sunday. OSU tied the score at 1-1 on Michael Novaks goal in the 67th minute, but State Select scored the game-winner in the 92nd minute.
