1999 Beaver Baseball Camps set

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State will hold two 1999 Beaver Baseball Camps this summer at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. A day camp for players age 7-12 will take place from June 14-17; and an overnight camp for players age 8-17 will take place from Aug. 1-5. Players can also choose to commute to-and-from the overnight camp.
Oregon State Beaver Baseball Camps are instructional camps designed to provide the best possible baseball instruction for players of all ages and abilities. Emphasis is placed upon improving each individuals skills and knowledge of baseball.
Each camper will receive specific instruction on how to play the game and how to improve himself or herself on and off the field. Skills and techniques will be improved through individual and small group instruction, drills, and game experience. Instruction will cover all aspects of baseball.
Instructors will include OSU head coach Pat Casey and assistants Dan Spencer and Gary Henderson, as well as outstanding coaches from the junior college and high school ranks.
Beaver Baseball Camps offers instruction in all positions and game situations. The proper techniques of hitting, pitching, catching, infield, outfield, baserunning and team defense are taught, and all areas of the game will be covered. Students will receive individual instruction on the correct techniques of the game with emphasis given to each campers primary areas of interest. Instruction is adjusted for age and ability levels and student safety is stressed at all times.
Games are supervised by coaches who teach and review proper play techniques. Games are played each day and are a great opportunity for students to incorporate the techniques they have been taught and to improve their confidence in their abilities.
