BEAVER CLUB/BEAVER HUDDLE/TV-RADIO INFORMATION/TICKET INFORMATION
TICKETS: A 3-Pack plan is still available (Arizona, UCLA and Oregon) at $72.00. Reserve seat tickets are priced at $22.00. General admission tickets are priced at $15.00, and are located in the East grandstand and both end zones. Single game GA and reserve seat tickets can be purchased in advance for all games with the exception of the Oregon game. In addition, Bi-Mart stores in Oregon have coupons (one ticket per coupon) that can be redeemed at Parker Stadium for 1/2 off the price of a general admission ticket. The OSU Athletic Ticket Office, room 107 Gill Coliseum, is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The phone number is 541-737-4455 or 1-800-GO BEAVS. Tickets can also be purchased over the Beavers' website at osu.beavers.com. Tickets are also available through all Ticket Master locations in Oregon. Parker stadium ticket booths open at 9:00 a.m. on game days. Parker Stadium gates open at 11:30 a.m. on game days.
RILEY RADIO TALK SHOW: The Mike Riley radio talk show originates in Corvallis during the season over KLOO (1340 AM) from 7 to 8 p.m. each Thursday during the season, with Nate Lundy, KLOO sports director, serving as host. The Riley talk show will air live from the Pavilion Restaurant in Corvallis.
BEAVER HUDDLE/BEAVER CLUB MEETING SCHEDULES: The following is this year's schedule for Albany, Corvallis, Eugene, Portland, Salem and Woodburn chapters of Beaver Huddle or Beaver Club meeting schedules. Albany Beaver Club meets at 7:00 a.m. on selected Thursday's at Springhill Country Club. The next Albany meeting will be on October 15, with additional meetings on November 5 and Nov. 19. Corvallis meets every Monday noon at the Valley Football Center. The Lane County Beaver Club chapter meets on the second Monday of each Month at 11:45 a.m. at the Oregon Electric Station. Portland Beaver Club meets every Monday noon at the Multnomah Athletic Club. Mike Riley will appear on the following dates in Portland--Sept. 28; Oct. 12; Oct. 26 and Nov. 16. Salem Beaver Huddle meets every Wednesday noon at the Salem Golf Club. The Woodburn chapter of Beaver Club meets at 6:00 p.m. at Yun Wah Restaurant on, Oct. 21 and Nov. 18.
OSU GAMES ON TEAMLINE/TRZ: Once again, all OSU football games can be heard outside the Beaver Sports Network listening area by calling TEAMLINE at 1-800-846-4700 and entering OSU's access code (5921). You can listen as long as you like, and pay only for time you listen. All charges are billed directly to your MasterCard or Visa. A TEAMLINE Season Ticket is also available. It is a pre-paid telephone calling card designed to ease access to OSU's games by eliminating the need to use a credit card each time you call. OREGON STATE TRAVEL: Oregon State will depart Eugene on Friday at 3:30 p.m. on Reno Air charter flight, arriving at Salt Lake City International Airport at approximately 5:00 p.m. PDT. The Beavers will headquarter at the Ogden Park Hotel in Ogden, Utah (801-627-1190). OSU will return to Eugene immediately after the game on Saturday and will arrive in Eugene at approximately 3:30 a.m.
BEAVER GAME DAY PROMOTIONS
FAN FAIR 1998: Oregon State unveils its Fan Fair 1998 at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, which is open to fans of all ages. Activity tickets are priced at $1 each or 6 for $5. Here is a sample of what will be available on Saturday: Marriott Food Court; Reser's Passing Contest*; Coca-Cola Kicking Game*; Face Painter*; Race Car Alley*; Pizza Hut Basketball Shoot* and Dunk Tank*. There will also be a Beaver Den sports grill and hospitality tent, which is open to the public. OSU radio play-by-play announcer Darrell Aune will start his pregame radio show from the Fan Fair 1998 area at 11:00 a.m. The Game Day Activity Booth will feature the Corvallis Police Department and K-9 unit and parents can sign up to get their kids fingerprinted. *Indicates activity ticket required.
ALUMNI ACTIVITIES: The OSU Alumni Association will hold home football Tailgaters at the CH2M Hill Alumni Center, which is open to the public, starting at two hours prior to kickoff. The Alumni Tailgaters will feature a buffet style lunch in the main ballroom and courtyard patio area, priced at $6.50. Beverages are available for purchase. The Alumni Tailgaters will also feature live music, OSU cheerleaders and Benny Beaver, entertainment, OSU merchandise for purchase and big-screen cable sports broadcasts. The Alumni center also opens once again at halftime and stays open for postgame activities, including Coach Mike Riley's postgame radio show. The Alumni Tailgatger also has food and beverages available for postgame activities.
