Men's Golf Team Concludes Play at Ping/Arizona Intercollegiate

SABINO SPRINGS, Ariz. - The Oregon State men's golf team shot a final round 313 to finish 17th at the Ping/Arizona Intercollegiate. The Beavers also concluded the suspended second round Tuesday morning, firing 304.
John Lepak led Oregon State individually, with a three-round total of 221. Lepak, who tied for 39th, shot back-to-back rounds of 1-over-par 72, and finished with a 77.
The University of Washington captured the 19-team tournament with a total of 861. The Huskies were three shots better than USC. Robb Bergeson of Washington won the individual title with rounds of 71-68-70 for a 209 total. Stanford All-American Joel Kribel was one shot back in second place.
Other Oregon State scores include Todd Deacon tied for 50th at 224; Kyle Hudson tied for 80th at 231; Eric Dahm tied for 84th at 233; and Ryan Nomura tied for 95th at 240. Deacon and Nomura were playing i their first collegiate tournaments.
Oregon State resumes play Feb. 10-13 at the Taylor Made Intercollegiate in Kona, Haw.
