Megan Murphy-Barcroft Named Pac-10 Gymnast of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Oregon State senior Megan Murphy-Barcroft has been named the Pacific-10 Gymnast of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Murphy-Barcroft had three career-highs in leading OSU to a 197.325-196.700 victory over No. 3 Utah on March 14. OSU's score was a school record.
The All-American set a personal best with an all-around score of 39.500, becoming just the second Oregon State gymnast to score that high.
She achieved that mark with three scores of 9.90 or better. Murphy-Barcroft placed first on floor with a career-high 9.95, and she also set a personal best of 9.925 to place third on vault. She scored a 9.925 to tie for second place on the balance beam, and she added a 9.70 on bars.
It is the second time in her career that she has been named Pac-10 Gymnast of the Week; she receieved the honor once last year as well.
