Beaver Gymnastics Finishes Second Behind UCLA at Bruin Classic

LOS ANGELES - The No. 11 ranked Oregon State gymnastics team was unable to hold off host No. 5 UCLA at the Bruin Classic, but the Beavers did defeat No. 7 Penn State as well as Cal State Fullerton in Pauley Pavilion Sunday afternoon.
The Beavers scored a 192.550, while UCLA posted a 194.550. Penn State finished at 190.800, while Fullerton scored a 189.275.
Oregon State opened the meet with its two weakest events, floor and vault, and trailed Penn State after the first two rotations, but the Beavers edged into second place after the third rotation - bars.
