Rachel competed from 2014-16 for the Wildcats and graduated with a degree in biochemistry ... Had PRs of 5-11.25 outdoors and 5-9.25 indoors ... Took 13th in 2016, 12th in 2015 and third in 2014 at the Big 12 Conference Outdoor Championships and was seventh in 2016, 13th in 2015 and 10th in 2014 at the Big 12 Indoor Championships ... Earned first-team Big 12 Conference All-Academic honors in 2016, with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

WEST ALBANY HIGH SCHOOL

Rachel was the 5A state champion in 2013 (6-1), 2012 (5-7) and 2011 (5-7) and holds the OSAA record at 6-1 ... She was the high jump champion at the 2013 USA Junior National meet, the runner-up at the 2011 Junior National meet, and took fifth place at the 2011 and 2013 Pan Am Junior Championships ... Also played volleyball ... Graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was the class valedictorian and a member of the National Honor Society.

Daughter of Phil Proteau and Diane Nauman ... Family also includes sisters Alexis, Grace and Claire and brother Wyatt; Alexis is an OSU student ... Studying pharmacy at OSU and she hopes to become a clinical pharmacist ... Her father is an OSU graduate and a professor of medical chemistry in the OSU College of Pharmacy ... Her mother is a pharmacist, and an OSU grad ... Enjoys hiking, backpacking and yoga.
