Ragean Hill Named Oregon State Deputy Athletic Director

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Ragean Hill, who has more than two decades of collegiate experience, has been appointed as Oregon State's Deputy Athletic Director and Chief Sports Performance and Operations Officer, Vice President and Director of Athletics Kevin Griffin announced Monday.

Ragean emerged as our clear choice based on her experience on several campuses across numerous conferences and her deep commitment to the student athlete experience. She is laser focused to create a winning culture and lean into The Beaver Way across all 16 OSU sports."
Hill, in her role at Oregon State, will will oversee sports supervisors, facility operations, compliance, sports performance, and NIL and revenue-share management.

"To see the momentum building and the energy in Corvallis is something I want to be a part of. Kevin's vision for where he wants to take the program is the primary reason I pursued this role. She comes to Corvallis from Charlotte, where she's spent seven years as an Executive Associate Athletic Director and Senior Women's Administrator. While with the 49ers, she supervised the university's football and women's basketball program while providing secondary overview of the men's team. She also assisted in Charlotte's transition into the American Athletic Conference and oversaw the start of women's lacrosse during her tenure. Hill also chaired the NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics from 2021-25 while serving as the Co-Chair of the NCAA Woman of the Year Committee from 2024-26.
A 2002 graduate of Kansas State, she spent four years at Old Dominion as an Associate Athletic Director where she oversaw the Student-Athlete Academic Services and Student-Athlete Development and Leadership Programs and was also named the Monarchs' Senior Woman Administrator in 2017. She oversaw multiple programs, including the creation of the Monarchs' volleyball team.
Hill served as Director of Academics at Arkansas beginning in 2013, and was a member of the Leadership Team for the Office of Student-Athlete Services and developed and oversaw the Hogs in Transition program for incoming freshmen and transfers.
Hill earned her Bachelor's Degree from Kansas State in 2002 and continued on to earn her Master's in Adult, Occupational and Continuing Education from K-State in 2004. She began her collegiate career at Nebraska from 2004-06, working as an academic counselor, then moved to Wisconsin as an Academic Advisor and a Director of Diversity and Inclusion. She moved to her alma mater in 2007 and worked with the Wildcats until 2013 as Assistant Director for Student Support Programs and Program Director for Football Academic Services.
Hill's appointment is contingent on the completion of all university hiring processes.
A native of Redlands, Calif., she competed in track and field at Kansas State from 1999-2002 and CSUN from 1997-99.
Hill has participated in a variety of intercollegiate seminars, is a 2023 NCAA Pathways Graduate, 2017 NCAA Leadership Institute graduate and was a 2016 recipient of the NACDA John McLendon Minority Scholarship for D-1A. She's spent the last nine years with the College Football Playoff Stadium Operations Team.
Hill is a current member of the Women Leaders in College Sports and the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A). She was also appointed to the NCAA Walter Byers Scholarship Committee, which she was a member of from 2019-2023.
