Davis Hartwell In Second After First 36 Holes In His Collegiate Debut

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho – The Oregon State men's golf team is tied for sixth through 36 holes of the CDA National Reserve Invitational, with the final round set for Tuesday at Coeur d'Alene National Golf Course.
Freshman Davis Hartwell, playing in his first collegiate tournament, leads the Beavers in second place individually after opening rounds of 70 and 66 for a 136 total, 8-under par. His second-round 66 was tied for the low round of the tournament.
Fellow freshman Miles Romagnoli also made his college debut, posting rounds of 71 and 76 for a 147 total to sit tied for 33rd.
Oregon State, as a team, posted rounds of 288 and 292 for a 580 total, four shots over par. The Beavers are tied with Washington State for sixth, one stroke behind a tie between San Francisco and Boise State.
Stanley Lin (71-77—148) is tied for 44th, Ethan Elleraas (76-73—149) is tied for 54th and Owen Bascom (77-79—156) is tied for 85th.
Oregon State competes in the third and final round Tuesday at Coeur d'Alene National.
