Froehlich and Matias Recognized as Pac-12 Players of the Week

CORVALLIS, Ore. – AC Froehlich has been named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week alongside Jackie Matias, who earned Setter of the Week honors, the conference announced Tuesday.

Froehlich appeared in all three of the Beavers' matches this weekend, leading the team with 44 kills and an average of 4.40 per set. Tallying a team-high mark for kills in each match, the Lafayette, La., native set a new career high with 18 in OSU's four-set victory over Utah Valley, hitting .349 to go with five digs and two blocks.

Matias started her season with 110 assists (11.0 per set) across three appearances, which included a career-best 53 against Utah Valley to go with 12 digs, one kill and one block. Now in her second season as a Beaver, Matias had assist totals of 31, 53 and 26 across the team's opening weekend of play and led the team with 27 total digs.
