Jeremy Ainsworth To Lead Oregon State Athletic Training Office; Deb Graff Retires After 30 Years

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Jeremy Ainsworth has been named Oregon State's Associate Athletic Director for Director of Athletic Training. He takes over the role after Deb Graff is set to retire after more than 30 years in the athletic training office at Oregon State.

"I'd first like to thank Deb Graff for her more than 30 years of service to Oregon State Athletics," said Kevin Griffin, Vice President and Director of Athletics. "That is an impressive tenure and Beaver Nation is grateful for her dedication as a valued member of the athletic training department. I'd also like to congratulate Jeremy Ainsworth on his promotion to lead our athletic trainers. He is professional and well-respected by our coaches and student-athletes."

Ainsworth is in his second stint with Oregon State and has served as an associate athletic trainer since Sept. 2021, working with the baseball program. He also worked with Oregon State baseball from Sept. 2016 to Aug. 2019, earning a ring with the 2018 national champion Beavers.

Ainsworth has also worked with PT Northwest and the Corvallis Knights in his 20 years in the Willamette Valley.

Graff, a graduate of Western Washington, came to Oregon State after a short stint at Miami, and has been a mainstay with the OSU gymnastics program.

She has also worked with the volleyball, men's golf, swimming and men's and women's programs during her tenure in Corvallis.

"There are very few people who leave a legacy the way Deb has. For more than 30 years, she has been so much more than our athletic trainer—she has been the heart of Oregon State Gymnastics and a constant source of love, strength, and support for every student-athlete and staff member who has walked through our doors," said Tanya Chaplin, Oregon State Gymnastics Head Coach.
"Deb has an incredible way of making people feel safe, cared for, and valued. During the highest highs and the most difficult moments of an athlete's career, she has always been there with compassion, wisdom, and an unwavering belief in them. She has celebrated victories, comforted broken hearts, guided countless athletes through injuries, and reminded every gymnast that their health and well-being always came first. The trust she built with our student-athletes is something truly special and will always be one of the defining parts of our program.
"While it is impossible to put into words everything Deb has meant to Oregon State Gymnastics, one thing is certain — her impact will live on through every athlete whose life she has touched. We are better because of her. We are stronger because of her. We are forever grateful for the love, care, and dedication she has given to this program, and she will always be a cherished member of the Beaver Gymnastics family."
