Beavers Open Corvallis Regional In Fourth

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Stanley Lin carded a 3-under 68 to lead Oregon State to a fourth-place standing at 8-under par after the opening round of the NCAA Corvallis Regional on Monday at Trysting Tree Gold Club.
The host Beavers sit behind Purdue (-12), Oklahoma (-9) and Arkansas (-9), and ahead of fifth-place Charlotte (-4) on the regional leaderboard at the par-71 event. The top five teams after the conclusion of regional play Wednesday advance to the NCAA Championship.
Lin's 68 placed him in a tie for seventh in the individual field on the strength of five birdies. He was one of four Beavers to break par. Nguyen Anh Minh, ranked No. 25 nationally, posted a 2-under 69 to tie for 15th, matched by Collin Hodgkinson, who also shot 69 in a share of 15th on five birdies.
Rylan Johnson added a 1-under 70 to tie for 22nd as the fourth Oregon State player under par. Johnson's six birdies tied for the most by any player in the field. Antoine Jasmin closed the Beavers' lineup at 2-over 73 in a tie for 60th, carding three birdies.
