
Beavers Finish Record-Setting Weekend at UW Preview and Mile City

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State showcased another weekend of standout individual performances at the UW Preview and Mile City, highlighted by school records set by Maya Baechler and Megan Hatcher.
Friday's action featured standout performances in the field, led by Dede Norman, who captured first place in the high jump by clearing 1.80m/5-10.75, the top mark of the day. Claire Lee added another victory for the Beavers in the pole vault, winning with a clearance of 3.65m/11-11.75 meters, while Mia Fowler placed fourth.
In the weight throw, Katie Gelston recorded a personal best of 16.07m/52-7.75 to move into eighth on Oregon State's all-time list, with Olivia Chamizo close behind in ninth at 16.00m/52-6.
On the track, Hatcher highlighted the sprint group with a personal best of 24.90 in the 200 meters, moving her to fifth all-time at OSU, before returning later in the day to run a program-record 55.50 in the 400 meters.
Baechler delivered one of the day's top distance performances in the 800 meters, running a personal-best 2:07.00 to claim fifth place and move to No. 1 all-time in program history. Ruby Broadbent, Cadence Kasprick, Maella Hodgson, and Jenna O'Beirne all added personal bests in the event, reshaping the OSU top-10 list.
In the 3,000 meters, Noemi Lundgren posted a personal best of 9:14.47 to move to third all-time at Oregon State, while Reese Morkert dropped more than 18 seconds from her previous best earlier in the day.
Saturday's Mile City events continued the momentum, particularly in the invitational mile. Baechler led the charge with a personal best of 4:36.68, moving to third all-time at OSU, followed closely by Ruby Broadbent and Ainsley Herron, who both ran personal bests and now rank fourth and fifth in program history.
