Maximo Renteria Named Pac-12 Wrestler Of The Week For Third Time

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State redshirt senior Maximo Renteria has been named the Pac-12 Conference's Wrestler of the Week for the third time this season, it was announced on Tuesday.
Renteria picked up a 13-6 decision over Cal Poly's Koda Holeman, who was ranked 18th nationally prior to the Beavers' 24-12 dual victory. Renteria pushed out to a 10-1 lead after two periods – thanks to a 6-1 first – en route to his 14th win of the season.
Six of those 14 wins have come against ranked foes this season.
Renteria's first two Pac-12 honors came on Dec. 9 and Dec. 23. He is the first wrestler in the conference to be recognized three times this season.
Renteria and the Beavers stay home this week to host Little Rock in a Pac-12 dual Friday night at Gill Coliseum. The dual gets underway at 7 p.m. PT and tickets are available at BeaverTickets.com.
