Brown Closes Strong as Beavers Wrap Up NCAA West Regional Competition

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. – Oregon State capped off its time at the NCAA West Regionals on Saturday highlighted by Jillian Brown's second personal best of the weekend.

Brown finished the final day with a personal-best of 2:04.99 in the 800-meter final, finishing 15th overall. Brown improving her own mark as the second-fastest performer in OSU history for the second time after a personal best in the first round if the 800 meters on Friday.

In the discus, Katie Gelston closed her season with a solid throw of 50.39m/165-4 to finish 37th. Jamie Hamlin made her NCAA Regional debut in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, running 11:17.36 to place 46th.
