Eyre Leads Beavers On First Day At The Duck Invitational

EUGENE, Ore. – Brandon Eyre shot back-to-back rounds under par to lead the Oregon State men's golf team after 36 holes at the Duck Invitational on Monday.

The Beavers, as a team, find themselves in a tie for 10^th with an 8-over 576 at the par-71 Eugene Country Club. The final 18 holes are set for Tuesday morning.

Eyre shot a 1-under 70 in the first of two rounds and followed that with a 2-under 69 over the second 18. He'll enter the third and final round tied for 11^th after tallying 10 birdies, which is among the leaders at the invitational.

Stanley Lin, meanwhile made six birdies in the first 36 holes and shot a 3-over 145 on the day. He opened 1-over par in the first round, and posted a 2-over 73 in the second. Lin is tied for 36th.

Bradley Smolinski was second on the team with seven birdies, and was one shot behind Lin. He posted a 4-over 146 and is tied for 44th.

Collin Hodgkinson ended his day at par in the second round, and finished with a 5-over 147 overall. He is tied for 54th and connected on six birdies Monday.

Rylan Johnson is in 89th after the first 36 holes, finishing with a 12-over 154.

Brody Marconi is competing as an individual and posted back-to-back 5-over 76 rounds. He is tied for 79^th at 10-over.
