Beavers Drop Contest to Gaels

CORVALLIS – The Oregon State men's basketball team fell to Saint Mary's 63-49 Saturday evening at Gill Coliseum.

Isaiah Sy scored 10 points on 3-for-6 shooting off the bench. Josiah Lake II finished with seven points and three assists on 3-for-6 shooting from the floor. Nate Kingz tallied seven points.

Parsa Fallah and Damarco Minor tallied six points apiece. Minor added a pair of steals.

The Beaver bench out-scored the Saint Mary's reserves 23-21.

The Beavers scored the first four points, but the Gaels answered with seven-straight points to take their first lead of the contest. Saint Mary's led 21-10 mid-way through the opening half. Neither team was able to get its offense going from there, as the Gaels were in front 25-12 with 3:36 to go before the intermission.

The Gaels headed into the locker room up 30-19.

The two sides went back-and-forth in the early parts of the second half, as Saint Mary's was in front 46-32 with nine minutes left. The Gaels took the win by 14.

The Beavers will head North on Thursday for a matchup with Portland.
