Beavers Complete Second Day At Amer Ari Intercollegiate

KOHALA COAST, Hawai'i – Rylan Johnson posted the best round of the day for the Oregon State men's golf team, posting a 3-under 69 over the middle 18 holes at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate on Friday.

Johnson birdied five holes on the day at the par-72, 6,913-yard Mauna Lani Resort. He's second on the team thus far with a 3-under 141, which ties him or 53rd.

The team lead belongs to Stanley Lin, who has now shot back-to-back 2-under 70 rounds. He birdied three holes on the back nine in the second round and enters the final day of action tied for 49th with a 4-under 140.

Johnson is followed closely by Bradley Smolinski, who tallied a 1-over 73 on Friday. The freshman birded four holes in the second round and is tied for 62nd with a 1-over 142.

Brandon Eyre enters the final day at 2-over after finishing at par on Friday. He is tied for 88th. Collin Hodgkinson is tied for 110th after posting a 1-under 71 Friday. He is at 7-over after 36 holes. Brody Marconi, the Beavers' lone individual competitor, is 121st with a 19-over 163.

As a team, the Beavers head into the final day 14th with an 8-under 568. OSU jumped up four spots on Friday.
