Hodgkinson Shines On First Day At The Prestige

LA QUINTA, Calif. – Collin Hodgkinson finds himself in a tie for fourth place after 18 holes at The Prestige as the Oregon State men's golf team opened the three-day event on Monday.

Hodgkinson shot a 4-under 67, posting five birdies to find himself just one shot off the pace. His five birdies are just two shy of the tournament lead.

The round marked his ninth under par this year and 18^th of his career.

Rylan Johnson was close behind, finishing at one stroke under par at the par-71, 7,129-yard Greg Norman Course at PGA West. He finds himself in a tie for 24^th after posting five birdies as well. Four of the five came on the back nine.

Bradley Smolinski posted a 5-over 76 to place 95^th. Stanley Lin is at 102 with a 6-over 77 and Brandon Eyre posted an 11-over 82 to end day one at 117.

The Beavers, as a team, are tied for 17^th after shooting a 6-over 290.
