Men’s Golf Signs Two For 2026-27 Season
November 13, 2025 | Men's Golf
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State men's golf head coach Jon Reehoorn announced Thursday that Miles Romagnoli and Davis Hartwell have signed National Letters of Internt to join the program starting with the 2026-27 season.
Hartwell hails from in-state and will come to Corvallis from Klamath Falls, while Romagnoli (pronounced Rom-in-yoli) will join the Orange and Black from Caloundra, Queensland.
"There are many things we look for in potential recruits outside of their on course results and toward the top of the list is do I find myself rooting for these individuals," Reehoorn said. Is there an instant connection in the way we communicate and a love for the game of golf we share?
"In both Davis and Miles the intangibles and our connection presented themselves immediately. Both are going to bring completely different personalities and strengths to the team but the under current is their love for the game of golf and approach it a bit with something to prove."
Romagnoli took third at both the 2025 Gary Player Classic and Queensland Junior Amateur. The previous year, 2024, saw him place second at the Queensland Junior Amateur and NextGen Pelican Waters event as well as third at the Greg Norman Junior Masters.
He's averaged 71.19 shots per round over all national ranking tournaments since 2023.
"I chose Oregon State because the coaches have shown me constant support and I feel welcomed as an International student-athlete," he said.
"Miles is a relentless worker," Reehoorn said. "He describes himself as someone who has a chip on his shoulder with something to prove. And most importantly everyone who knows him knows he is one of the best individuals to be around."
Hartwell tied for second at the Brandon Wu Championship event in 2025. He also finished second at the National High School in 2024, and competed in the round of 32 at the USA Junior AM that year.
Hartwell has helped Crosspoint Christian High School to two state championships during his career.
"I absolutely love the campus and the coaches at Oregon State are awesome," Hartwell said.
"Davis is fearless and has shown an ability to hit the shot or make the putt when he really needs it," Reehoorn said. "At the age of 13 Davis shot 58 in an OGA Junior event. Two summers ago in the US Junior, he defeated one of the top recruits in the country who is now at Vanderbilt. Davis is going to continue to bring a level of competitiveness to our team both on the course and in everything we do that is going to be fun to be around."
