Johnson, Jasmin Lead Beavers At Oregon State Invitational

SALEM, Ore. – Rylan Johnson tied for fourth and Antoine Jasmin tied for sixth to pace the Oregon State men's golf team at the Oregon State Invitational on Wednesday. The Beavers placed second at the event, held at the par-72 Illahe Hills Country Club.
Oregon State, as a tea, had its best round of play over the 36 holes in the final 18, finishing with a 1-under 287. Johnson, playing as an individual, shot his best round, with a 3-under 69. He opened the event with a 1-over 73 before posting at par, 72, in the second round Tuesday.
Jasmin, in his first Oregon State Invitational, posted rounds under par in the first and third. Like Johnson, he had his best round over the final 18, shooting a 4-under 68. He opened with a 1-under 71 before ending the first day of action with a 4-over 76.
Collin Hodgkinson posted a 2-under 70 on Wednesday to end in a tie for 13th with a 2-over 218. He also finished at par in round two.
Ethan Elleraas, also in his first OSU Invite, shot a 5-over 77 Wednesday. His best round was a 2-under 70 in the second 18.
Elleraas tied for 25th, and was closely followed by Bradley Smolinski, who tied for 27th with a 6-over 222. Stanley Lin tied for 53rd with an 11-over 227.
Oregon State, as a team, finished with 42 birdies, trailing only Boise State's 48. Hodgkinson tallied 11 to lead the Beavers, followed by Jasmin's 10 and Elleraas' eight.
