
Beavers Drop Game at LMU

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Oregon State men's basketball team was defeated by LMU 82-61 Thursday evening in Los Angeles, Calif.

Michael Rataj led the Beavers with 19 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals. Damarco Minor had eight points and five rebounds. Josiah Lake II went 2-for-2 from the floor to end his night with eight points.

Isaiah Sy and Liutauras Lelevicius had eight points apiece. Nate Kingz recorded seven points.

Jevon Porter led LMU with 22 points.

The Beavers move to 11-4 on the season.

LMU jumped out to an early lead, carrying a 10-2 advantage into the game's first media timeout. The Beaver offense heated up from there, as OSU got within one at 18-17. The Lions brought the lead back to eight with six minutes left in the opening half, but the Beavers responded with eight unanswered to get back level.

The Lions led 43-36 at the intermission. Rataj had 13 first-half points.

LMU opened up a 20-point lead eight minutes into the second half. The Lions claimed the win by 21.

The Beavers will return home Saturday for a matchup with San Diego.
