Oregon State Announces Cross Country Schedule
July 23, 2024 | Women's Cross Country
CORVALLIS – Oregon State announced the 2024 cross country schedule on Tuesday, featuring five chances to catch the Beavs in the Beaver State.
Â
OSU opens the year at the Linfield Harrier Classic, which it won last year. The Beavs remain in-state for the next two meets, heading south for Pre's Run and north for the Ash Creek Collegiate in the first two weeks of September.
Â
The year's first big test will be at Nuttycombe on September 27. In 2023, the Beavs outraced seven top-20 teams including no. 8 Washington and no. 10 Colorado en route to a seventh-place team finish.
Â
October includes two in-state meets with the Charles Bowles Invitational in Salem before the Dellinger Invitational in Springfield.
Â
Postseason competition begins on November 2 with the WCC Championships before the NCAA West Regionals in Colfax, Wash. on November 15. The Beavs will look for their fourth trip to the NCA Championships, which would be a return trip to Wisconsin's Zimmer Cross Country Course.
Â
The season will be the first in several years without stalwarts and All-Americans Kaylee Mitchell and Grace Fetherstonhaugh, but the Beavs return Kate Laurent, Sage Brooks and Ruby Broadbent, all of whom scored in OSU's best-ever finish at Nuttycombe last season.
Â
The Beavs also made a midseason addition of Molly Latincsics, who scored in the 10,000 meters at the Pac-12 Track and Field Championships and welcome back contributors like Eimy Martinez from injury.
