Carey Qualifies for Olympic Trials with Strong Effort at U.S. Championships

FORT WORTH, Texas – Jade Carey, representing Oregon State University, delivered an impressive performance at the 2024 Xfinity U.S. Championships on Sunday evening, securing a place on the 2024 Senior Women's National Team and an invitation to the Olympic Trials.
Day two of competition saw Carey start with a strong routine on bars, scoring 13.650. Despite a 12.300 on beam, she excelled in the floor exercise, earning a 13.700. Carey then concluded her competition with an outstanding vault, achieving a 14.600, the second-highest vault score on day two.
Carey's all-around score of 109.300 placed her seventh overall, with top-10 finishes in vault (third), floor (fourth), and bars (eighth).
At the meet's conclusion, it was announced that Carey had earned a spot on the 2024 Senior National Team, marking her eighth consecutive year on the U.S. National Team. Carey also advanced to the U.S. Olympic Trials, scheduled for June 27-30 in Minneapolis, Minn.
