Farnos, Newman Invited to MLS College Showcase

CORVALLIS – Oregon State's Arnau Farnos and Enzo Newman have been invited to the MLS College Showcase, Major League Soccer announced Tuesday.
The four-day talent evaluation event, which will take place from Dec. 11-14, will give technical staffs from each MLS club an opportunity to scout top collegiate prospects. Farnos and Newman are among 44 players from 34 different college programs invited to the event, which leads up to the MLS SuperDraft, which will take place on Dec. 20. The final list of draft-eligible players will be announced at a later date.
Farnos, who was named WCC Midfielder of the Year and to the All-WCC First Team, Farnos finished the 2024 season second in the conference with nine goals. Newman started every match this season and amassed six assists.
The 2024 adidas MLS College Showcase is a closed-door scouting event officially sanctioned by the NCAA.
As a team, the Beavers made the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in the last seven years. Oregon State finished the season 10-5-1.
