Eyre Paces Beavers On Second Day In North Carolina

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Brandon Eyre shot a 2-over 74 in the second of three rounds at the Williams Cup on Monday to lead the Oregon State men's golf team.

Eyre holds the team lead after two days and is tied for 16^th entering the final 18 holes on Tuesday. On Monday, he recorded three birdies and was one just a handful of players at the event to finish close to par. He has shot a 2-over 144 in the first 36 holes of the event.

Collin Hodgkinson is 10 spots behind but two strokes away from Eyre after finishing with a second-consecutive 2-over 74. He's at 4-over for the event, totaling four birdies over the first 36 holes.

Stanley Lin and Rylan Johnson are both tied for 43^rd after two days, each at 6-over 150. Johnson shot a 6-over 77 while Lin posted an 8-over 79. Both recorded three birdies on Monday.

Bradley Smolinski heads into the final day with a 12-over 156.
