CORVALLIS, Ore. – Off a season that included the 24th Pac-12 championship in program history, five individual league champions and seven entrants to the NCAA Championships, the Oregon State wrestling team has announced its 2023-24 schedule.
Notable nonconference opponents for the Beavers include the defending national champions, Penn State in Gill Coliseum, and Iowa, the national runners-up in the 2022-23 season.
The campaign starts out with action on the east coast with the North Carolina Quad Dual in Chapel Hill, N.C. (Nov. 2) before closing the weekend at the Southeastern Open in Roanoke, Va. (Nov. 4). A trip to Iowa to face the Hawkeyes (Nov. 19) in Carver-Hawkeye Arena closes out November.
The Cliff Keen Invitational (Dec. 1-2) in Las Vegas and the Pac-12 opener at CSU Bakersfield (Dec. 16) marks the final competition of 2023.
2024 will open with the defending national champion Nittany Lions paying a visit to Corvallis (Jan. 5) and be the first of three to come to Gill Coliseum in the season. A neutral dual against North Dakota State (Jan. 13) eight days later in Las Vegas comes before the home Pac-12 opener against Cal Poly (Jan. 19). Oregon State will follow with a trip east to Stillwater, Okla., to face the Cowboys after a thrilling 2023 dual (Jan. 21) before honoring the graduates on Jan. 26 when they meet Little Rock.
Road trips to Arizona State (Feb. 4), Wyoming (Feb. 10) and Stanford (Feb. 18) will wrap up the season before postseason starts at Gill Coliseum with the Pac-12 Championships (March 10) before the NCAA Championships (March 21-23) commence in Kansas City, Missouri.
