Hodgkinson Leads Beavers At First Day Of Pac-12 Championships

STANFORD, Calif. – Collin Hodgkinson netted a pair of eagles Friday at the opening day of the Pac-12 Championships to lead the Oregon State men's golf team at the par-70, 6,727-yard Stanford Golf Course.

Hodgkinson ended the first two rounds of play – 36 holes overall – tied for 22nd with a 2-under 138. He shot a 1-under 69 in each of the first two rounds. His first eagle came on the par-5 seventh in the first round. He ended his day with an eagle on the par-5 first in the second round.

Hodgkinson also finished with seven birdies, tying for the team lead with Rylan Johnson.

Oregon State, as a team, finished 11th on the first day of action with a 12-over 713.

Carson Barry enters day two tied for 28th, two shots behind Hodgkinson. Barry, who also recorded an eagle at the first hole in the first round, shot a 2-under 68 followed by a 2-over 72 to shoot par for the day. Barry picked up five birdies on day one.

Johnson and Jackson Lake are tied for 47th with a 4-over 144. Johnson shot a 3-over 73 in round one, followed by a 1-over 71. Lake, meanwhile, finished at par in the first round and was a 4-over 144 over the final 18 holes.

Mateo Fuenmayor is 67th and Nolan Thoroughgood after day one. Fuenmayor ended the day with a 9-over 149, while Thorughgood is at a 10-over 150.
