Williams To Join Puerto Rican National Team Upcoming Games

CORVALLIS – Oregon State men's soccer's Dante Williams had been named to the Puerto Rico men's national team for its upcoming CONCACAF Nations League group stage matches.
The Puerto Rico squad will assemble on the island on Monday in advance of Thursday's game vs. the British Virgin Islands. The squad will then proceed to face the Cayman Islands on March 26.
Puerto Rico is part of League C in the CONCACAF Nations League. This week's matches will finalize the Leagues B and C teams that will be promoted to Leagues A and B, respectively, for the revamped 2023/24 CNL. The third edition of the CNL commences in September 2023 and will determine the six CONCACAF national teams that will qualify for the 2024 CONMEBOL Copa America.
Williams was an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention last season, after scoring three goals and tallying two assists. He appeared in all 17 matches, making 15 starts. Among Williams' 2022 highlights was the game-winning goal vs. Seattle U.
The Oregon State squad will play six matches as part of its spring season, which will open on April 8. The full spring schedule can be found here.
