
Beavers Fall to Buffs in Boulder

BOULDER, Colo. – The Oregon State men's basketball team fell to Colorado 62-42 Saturday evening in Boulder, Colo.
Dexter Akanno finished in double-figures for the eighth time this season, going for 10 points. Dzmitry Ryuny hit three of his four field goal attempts off the bench to finish with eight points and six rebounds, while Rodrigue Andela tallied six points on 3-for-4 shooting.
Freshman Tyler Bilodeau recorded 12 rebounds and two blocks in the contest.
As a team, Oregon State scored 26 points in the paint and had 17 points off the bench.
Colorado jumped out to a 9-2 lead at the game's first media timeout. Oregon State was unable to get its offense going in the first 20 minutes, the Buffaloes led by as many as 20 in the first half on their way to a 33-18 advantage at the intermission.
The Beavers battled to get back within 14 mid-way through the second half, but could not get within striking distance as Colorado took the win by 20.
Christian Wright made his first Oregon State start in the contest, while Andela returned to the starting lineup for the first time since Dec. 11.
The Beavers will return home Thursday for a matchup with Arizona.
