September 02, 2022 | Men's Soccer
CORVALLIS – The No. 10 Oregon State men's soccer team dominated the possession and the scoring chances, but Seton Hall was able to take a 1-0 victory Friday evening at Paul Lorenz Field.
The Beavers out-shot the Pirates 15-6, and held a 12-1 advantage on corner kicks, but a second-half Seton Hall goal against the run of play decided the contest.
Mouhameth Thiam and Nicklas Lund led the Beavers with four shots apiece.
Lund nearly put the Beavers in front in the eighth minute, heading one just wide of the target. Ellis Spikner forced a diving save in the 15th minute.

Lund headed the ball just outside the post again in the 43rd minute, and the teams went to the break scoreless.
Thiam again came close to breaking the deadlock early in the second half, but his shot was cleared off the line by a Pirate defender. Seton Hall scored in the 59th minute against the run of play.
