PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Oregon State women's golf team had four scores of par or better in the second round of the PING/ASU Invitational and climbed two spots up the leaderboard on Saturday.

The Beavers carded a 3-under 285 in the middle round of the tourney, the second-best team score of the day, to help them move into sixth place with a 3-over 294-285--579 at the par-72, 6,426-yard Papago Golf Course.

The stacked field features 12 of the 16 teams ranked among the Top 50 nationally in the latest Golfstat.com rankings, including eight teams from the always-competitive Pac-12 Conference.

Arizona State (21-under 555) has a commanding lead over Oregon and Baylor (4-under 572) with 18 holes to play for the team title. A pair of Sun Devils -- Ashley Menne (8-under 136) and Alexandra Fosterling (7-under 137) -- hold down the top two spots for the individual crown.

The final round of the three-day, 54-hole tournament begins at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday and live scoring is available at golfstat.com. Oregon State will start on the first hole at 7:30 a.m. and be paired with Northwestern, UCLA and Arizona.

Danique Stokmans led the Beavers on Saturday, shooting a 2-under 70 that vaulted her 18 spots up the board and into a tie for 18th place with an even-par 74-70--144. She had four birdies and 12 pars through the first 16 holes before finishing the day with back-to-back bogeys.

Kelsey Webster maintained her spot as the highest Oregon State golfer on the leaderboard after posting an even-par 72 that has her in a tie for 10th place with a 2-under 70-72--142. She has a team-high seven birdies through the first two rounds.

Ellie Slama was back in red figures with a 1-under 71 that moved her into a tie for 27th place with a 1-over 74-71--145. Chayse Gomez also played better in the second round, posting an even-par 72 that moved her into a tie for 43rd place with a 4-over 76-72--148.

Slama and Gomez both got an eagle on the par-5, 464-yard ninth hole. Gomez has five birdies in the tournament, while Slama has dropped in four birdies.

Amanda Minni improved her score by two strokes from the first day and sits in a tie for 69th place with a 10-over 78-76--154.
