
Beavers Fall To No. 3 Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. – Oregon State battled No. 3 Arizona before falling 83-69 on Thursday evening at the McKale Center.
Jarod Lucas and Roman Silva led the Beavers with 13 points apiece. Lucas knocked down three 3-pointers and grabbed six rebounds. Silva snagged seven boards.
Maurice Calloo scored 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Dashawn Davis finished with nine points and seven assists, and Ahmad Rand added nine points off the bench. Glenn Taylor Jr. scored eight points and got three steals, and Warith Alatishe played through knee issues to finish with seven points.
The Beavers had only seven scholarship players available for the second-straight game. Dexter Akanno (hip), Rodrigue Andela (foot), Isaiah Johnson (concussion), Xzavier Malone-Key (back) and Tre' Williams all missed the game with injuries.
Azuolas Tubelis led the Wildcats (23-2, 13-1 Pac-12) with 22 points and Bennedict Mathurin added 20.
Oregon State (3-21, 1-13 Pac-12) completes its two-game trip to the desert when it takes on Arizona State at 5 p.m. PT on Saturday in Tempe.
