Several Beavs Post Top-10 Times in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – Six Beavers posted new Oregon State top-10 times in a strong team performance at the Spokane Indoor on Saturday.

Lizzie Hatton got the day started with a bang, posting the third-best time in OSU history with a 7.67 in the 60-meter dash. Delaney Bahn also opened her season with a top-10 time, recording a 9.18 (9th all-time) in qualifying for the 60-meter hurdles prelims.

Adael Scatena locked up Oregon State's first podium of the season in the 60m hurdles, placing third with the fourth-best mark in school history of 8.79 seconds. The native of Springfield, Ore. also placed sixth in the 400m later in the day. Taylor Weidinger joined Scatena in the top-eight with a 57.95, the no. 7 mark all-time at OSU.

The Beavs got more good news in the middle of the day as all three OSU athletes made the final flight of the long jump. Delaney Bahn set a new PR and jumped two spots to no. 2 all-time at OSU with a 5.95m leap on her first attempt, eventually placing second. Anneke Moersdorf's third jump went for 5.84m and placed third while Chelsea Howard finished ninth in her Beaver debut.

The jumpers continued to find success for the Beavs as Emma Nelson placed second in the high jump with a 1.71m mark while Savannah Reilly landed in fifth with a 1.61m leap.

Jillian Brown brought another OSU Top-10 time on the track. The redshirt freshman placed third in the 800 meters with a time of 2:13.68, seventh-best all time. It outpaced her previous PR by nearly three seconds.
