Beavers Celebrate Title IX With Hall of Fame Event

CORVALLIS – Oregon State Athletics hosted a successful celebration of Title IX Saturday, as the Beavers inducted a special all-female class into the Oregon State Hall of Fame.
The event was hosted by local broadcasting legend Ann Schatz, and featured speeches by Jacque Bruns, Sylvia Moore, Shirley Huyett, Susan Shaw and Sierra Bishop.
The Hall of Fame Class included teams from women's golf (1974), gymnastics (1980), softball (1979, 1980, 1981), and women's track and field (1972 and 1979 relay teams), along with 21 student-athletes and one coach. More information on the Hall of Fame class can be found here.
In addition to those inducted, Oregon State also recognized an extensive list of Title IX Trailblazers. More information on the Trailblazers can be found here.

The Hall of Fame class comes in conjunction with Oregon State's SEE IT BEav IT campaign, which works to showcase the excellence athletically, academically and holistically of Oregon State's student-athletes while also celebrating the progress of OSU facilities and the overall support for Beaver women's sports.
