Welcome Back Beaver Nation
June 28, 2021 | Administration
A Letter from AD Scott Barnes
Beaver Nation,Â
I hope you are as excited as I am about the Governor's announcement last Friday that she has lifted all COVID-19 risk level health and safety restrictions beginning June 30th. This means we will be at 100% fan capacity in all of our venues for the upcoming season! I can't wait to see Beaver Nation back in the stands supporting our student-athletes and coaches. We just completed an extremely successful competitive season with eleven of our teams represented in NCAA postseason play, highlighted by our men's basketball program winning the Pac-12 Conference Tournament Championship and reaching the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament. With that said, it wasn't the same without YOU being able to cheer on the Beavs live and in person.
This past year has been challenging for us all both personally and professionally as we all endured the immeasurable impact of the COVID pandemic. I want to thank all of you who continued to support our department both emotionally and financially. We learned a great deal about the level of adversity our student-athletes and coaches can overcome and I couldn't be more proud of what they accomplished both in the classroom and in competition.
Now it is time to look forward to next year with you back in the stands, packing Reser Stadium, and all our home venues with absolutely no capacity restrictions. We will be sure to follow all local health guidelines to create a safe environment for all fans. Season Tickets are on sale now. You can call the ticket office at (800) GO-BEAVS or online.
May you enjoy all the beauties of the Beaver State this summer and I look forward to seeing you back in the Best College Town in the Pac-12 on September 11th when Beaver Football hosts its first home game with fans in Reser Stadium in nearly two years.
Go Beavs,
S. Scott Barnes
