
Stephens Qualifies for 2021 Junior World Championships

CORALVILLE, Iowa – Incoming Oregon State freshman wrestler Kodiak Stephens qualified for the 2021 Junior World Championships at 87kg on Friday.
Stephens became the 87kg Junior Greco-Roman Champion at the 2021 UWW Junior and Senior Nationals to qualify for the Junior World Championships that will be held Aug. 16-22 in Russia.
The Arnold, California native, went 3-0 to advance to the finals. In the championship bout, Stephens lost his first match before winning the next two in the two of three series on his way to the title.
Stephens will join the Beavers in the fall and wrestle at 184.
