Beavers Prepared for MPSF Indoor Championships

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State track and field heads to Seattle for the fourth time this indoor season to compete in the 2020 MPSF Championships on Friday and Saturday, February 28-29 at the Dempsey Indoor Center.
The MPSF Championships feature 22 universities comprised from the Pac-12, Big West and West Coast Conferences. A total of 37 teams will compete for a conference title with 22 teams on the women's side.
The Beavers in 2019 placed 15th overall during the indoor conference meet, scoring 11 total points.

LAST TIME OUT
Portland Indoor Three
In the third and final Portland Indoor meet, the Beavers put together strong performances heading into the conference championships. Highlighting the action in the long jump was Ann Wingeleth, who notched her second straight victory in the event with a personal-best indoor mark of 5.97 (19'7").
Emma Nelson nabbed runner-up behind Wingeleth with a personal best jump of 5.42m (17-9.5).
Claire Corbitt and Maddie McHone continued to shine in the 60-meter hurdles by taking first and runner-up in both prelims and final rounds. Corbitt clocked in at 9.15 to win the finals, with McHone right behind at 9.20.
Husky Classic
Ann Wingeleth notched her second event victory of the year in the high jump with a mark of 19-3.5 (5.88m) while a number of athletes continued to etch their names in the all-time record books.
Claire Corbitt set a new personal best in the 60-meter hurdles on Friday afternoon with a time 9.04 in the preliminary round. The junior would go on to finish with a time of 9.10 in the finals.
Tarisa Olinski continued to impress as she clocked in at 53.07 for seventh place overall to sit at fifth all-time in the OSU record books. In the 200-meter dash, sophomore Lauren Miller ran a 25.25 for a runner-up finish with freshman Taylor Weidinger behind her in tenth (25.79).
