
Beavers Wrap Up Action at Husky Classic

Ann Wingeleth highlighted the weekend with a victory in the long jump.
SEATTLE - Oregon State Track and Field finished the weekend on the road at the Husky Classic inside the Dempsey Indoor on the campus of the University of Washington.
Ann Wingeleth notched her second event victory of the year in the high jump with a mark of 19-3.5 (5.88m) while a number of athletes continued to etch their names in the all-time record books.
"We are getting better," head coach Louie Quintana said. "We're starting to piece some things together and are building some nice momentum heading into the MPSF championships in two weeks."
Claire Corbitt set a new personal best in the 60-meter hurdles on Friday afternoon with a time 9.04 in the preliminary round. The junior would go on to finish with a time of 9.10 in the finals.
Tarisa Olinski continued to impress as she clocked in at 53.07 for seventh place overall to sit at fifth all-time in the OSU record books. In the 200-meter dash, sophomore Lauren Miller ran a 25.25 for a runner-up finish with freshman Taylor Weidinger behind her in tenth (25.79).
Freshman Meagen Lowe showcased her speed in the 3K with a time of 9:33.75 which puts her at third all-time in the event.
Anneke Moersdorf earned a fifth-place finish in the long jump (5.36m) and third-place in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 11.70m.
Next Up: The Beavers compete in the third and final Portland Indoor meet of the season on Feb. 22-23.Â
