January 23, 2020 | Women's Track & Field
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State Track & Field remains in the Beaver State this weekend as they compete at the Portland Indoor on Sunday, Jan. 26.
This is OSU's first meet as part of George Fox and Portland's three-meet series that will take place between UP's Chiles Center and George Fox's Multi-Use Facility. The first of that series comes this weekend, with the Beavers taking a group of distance runners to compete at Portland's Chiles Center on Sunday. The other two meets this season will follow a similar format and take place, Feb. 8-9, and Feb. 22-23.
The Beavers will compete in the mile and 300-meter race with a contingent of new faces making their track & field debut on Sunday. In the 3000-meter race, Batya Beard will compete in her first indoor meet after missing the season her first two years. Freshman duo Libby Rinck and Liv Downing will also make their track debut in the 3000-meters with Maddie Fuhrman rounding out the lineup.
Competing in the mile, Delia Deleon makes her Oregon State debut with Maggie Smith. Deleon is a junior transfer from Treasure Valley CC.
