Lu, Tibbits Earn Pac-12 All-Academic Honors

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Shawn Lu and Spencer Tibbits earned Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention recognition, the conference office announced Thursday.
Lu, a junior from Honolulu, Hawai'i, received conference academic honors for the second straight year for his 3.14 cumulative GPA in marketing. He was selected to the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team following his sophomore season.
Tibbits, a sophomore from Vancouver, Wash., earned the recognition in his first eligible year for his 3.27 cumulative GPA in university exploratory studies. He also earned All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention recognition in late April for his play on the golf course.
An Oregon State men's golfer has now earned conference all-academic honors all 24 years since the recognition began in 1996.
In order to be eligible for the Pac-12 All-Academic teams, a student-athlete must have a grade point average of 3.00 or better and must be a starter or significant contributor.
