
McNairy Places in Heptathlon at Jim Click Multi-Events

ARIZONA – Saskia McNairy fished the two-day heptathlon in fourth place in the top group at the Jim Click Multi-Events on Saturday afternoon in Tucson. The rest of the Beavers squad wrapped up competition on the first day of the Sun Angel Classic in Tempe.
Jim Click Multi-Events
McNairy and Corbitt finished up their time at the Jim Click Multi-Events completing the remainder of the heptathlon with three events on Friday. McNairy (19-0.75) and Corbitt (17-10.75) began the day with third place finishes in the long jump in their respective groups.
In the javelin, McNairy picked up a top ten finish thanks to a best throw of 120-feet, 5-inches. Meanwhile, Corbitt manages a best mark of 68-feet, 1-inch ending the event in 13th place.
The 800 meters concluded the heptathlon for the afternoon. McNairy's time of 2-minutes, 23.97-seconds earned her ninth place in Group A, while Corbitt placed in 12th crossing the finish line in 2-minutes, 50.49-seconds.
McNairy finished Group A in fourth place overall compiling 5, 234 points. She improved her previous No. 4 all-time mark at OSU in the event with her finish today. Corbitt began the day in fifth place, but fell to ninth place with a total of 4, 232 points; tied for the seventh-best point total in school history.
Sun Angel Classic
The Beavers only competed in three events on the first day of the Sun Angel Classic, hosted by Arizona State University in Tempe. Lindsay McShane, competing in the premier division, earned a sixth place finish in the hammer throw with a top mark of 190-feet, 0-inches.
Oregon State had three competitors in the other division; Keely McLaughlin, Jessica Molina, Sydney Guthrie-Baker. McLaughlin managed the best placing of the three with her top throw of 176-feet, 9-inches for seventh place. Molina was close behind in eighth with her best throw of 174-feet, 5-inches, while Guthrie-Baker placed 15th at 155-feet, 2-inches.
Audrey Bright improved her No. 5 All-Time mark in school history in the pole vault on Saturday clearing 10-feet, 6.75-inches for 10th place. Junior Tory Edwards reached a top height of 11-feet, 6.5-inches finishing in fourth place.
The final event of the night for Oregon State featured four student-athletes; Ann Wingeleth, Lauren Miller, Tarisa Olinski, Rachel Krill. Wingeleth's time of 25.30-seconds topped the list for the orange and black for a 24th place finish.
Freshman Miller was right on her heels at 25.33 seconds in 27th place. Olinski managed a win in her flight, but finished in 41st overall with a time of 26.08-seconds. Krill rounded out the field of competition for the Beavers in 51st with a time of 32.49-seconds.
