
Briscoe and Olmos Named Scholar Athletes of the Month

CORVALLIS – Oregon State Athletics is proud to announce Halli Briscoe and Aaron Olmos have been named as April Scholar Athletes of the Month.
Halli Briscoe, a junior from Prosper, Texas, has been an uneven bars specialist for the Beavers each of the past two seasons. She has hit 15 out of 16 routines in her career and has posted a career-best 9.875 three times. Majoring in business administration with an option in entrepreneurship in Oregon State's Honors College, Briscoe is a two-time Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention selection and has twice be named as a Scholastic All-American by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association.
Aaron Olmos, a redshirt freshman from Imperial Beach, Calif, competed in the starting lineup at 165 pounds for the Beavers during the 2018-19 campaign. Olmos finished the season 9-15 overall with a 3-9 record in dual meets. He earned a fourth place finish at his first Pac-12 Wrestling Championships on March 9. A member of the College of Public Health, Olmos is majoring in Health Promotion and Health Behavior and carries a 3.6 GPA overall.
