Beavers Track & Field Back in Action this Weekend at Willamette Invitational

CORVALLIS – The Oregon State track and field team is back on the track after a couple week break at the Willamette Invitational in Salem, hosted by Willamette University.
The Beavers field team, which has already school records this season, is slated for five events on Saturday. The women's shot put starts the morning off at 9:30 a.m. and features Keely McLaughlin, Jessica Molina, Sydney Guthrie-Baker and Taylor Crockem.
McLaughlin and Lindsay McShane will then compete in the discus beginning at 11:30 a.m., along with the javelin. Making their season debuts in the event are school-record holder and All-American Destiny Dawson, Delaney Hall, Jordynn Slater and Kindel Bailey.
The Beavers have only one entry in the high jump which launches off at 2 p.m. The hammer throw, which is also scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., has five entrants; Molina, McShane, McLaughlin, Guthrie-Baker and Slater.
Gillette Field, Emily Showers, Tory Edwards and Audrey Bright will compete for Oregon State in the women's pole vault at 4 p.m.
The Beavers will open a small contingent of runners in the track events. Lauren Miller and Tarisa Olinski are entered into the women's 400 meters (12:50 p.m.) and 200 meters (2:40 p.m.).
Ann Wingeleth will run in the 100 meters at 1:10 p.m., while Rachel Krill will run the 400-meter hurdles an hour later, 2:10 p.m.
