Beavers Prepared For Two-Day Tournament

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State men's golf team returns to action Monday and Tuesday at the Southwestern Invitational in Westlake Village, Calif.
FIELD (12): Oregon State, Augusta, California, George Washington, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine, San Diego State, San Jose State, Tennessee, UCLA, USC, Washington.
COURSE: The tournament will be held at the par-72, 6,992-yard North Ranch Country Club.
BEAVERS' LINEUP: Oregon State will go with a lineup of junior Kyosuke Hara, sophomore Spencer Tibbits and freshmen Carson Barry, Sean Kato and Nolan Thoroughgood.
FORMAT: Two-day, 54-hole tournament with 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.
TEE TIMES: There will be tee times off the first and 10th holes beginning at 7:19 a.m. each day.
LIVE SCORING: There will be live scoring for the tournament on golfstat.com.

LAST TIME OUT: Oregon State opened its spring season with a tie for eighth place finish at the 28th Annual Amer Ari Invitational.
The Beavers concluded the three-day, 54-hole tournament with a 13-under 285-279-287--851 at the par-72, 7,074-yard Waikoloa Kings' Course. They finished tied with No. 2 Georgia Tech and ahead of three Pac-12 teams -- Utah (10th place), Stanford (13th place) and Colorado (15th place).
Sean Kato and Spencer Tibbits both led Oregon State with a 4-under 212 to finish in a tie for 24th place. Kato posted scores of 71-70-71 and Tibbits finished with 73-68-71.
Kyosuke Hara was consistent throughout the tourney, shooting a 2-under 72-70-72--214 to finish in a tie for 37th place. Trevor Yu finished in a tie for 48th place with an even-par 69-71-76--216 and Shawn Lu shot a 3-over 74-72-73--219 for a tie for 66th.
Nolan Thoroughgood competed as an individual and finished in a tie for 75th place with a 6-over 67-76-79--222.
Oklahoma State cruised to the team title with a 47-under 817 and the Cowboys' Matthew Wolff claimed medalist honors with an 18-under 198.
