Get to Know Savanna Force
This week's Get to Know feature is on Savanna Force. Savanna arrived at OSU as a freshman in the fall of 2017. She performed in the Beavers' floor exercise lineup eight times and set a personal-mark of 9.90 in a 2018 dual against Stanford. This season, Savanna has added the vault to her repertoire and has upped her career-high on floor to 9.925. Majoring in kinesiology, Savanna earned Scholastic All-American recognition as a freshman.
What OSU team do you get most excited to watch?
I get most excited to watch football because I grew up around it. My dad coaches and my brother played so it is something I have always loved to watch and support.
Â
Where would you most like to live someday?
I would love to live in Southern California because I love the sun and the city life.
Â
How many U.S. states have you visited?
I've visited 10 states.
Â
What is your secret power/talent?
I can learn lyrics to any song really fast … usually rap music.
Â
What fad or trend do you hope comes back?
I don't like fads and trends so I wouldn't have a specific thing I want to come back. I really like to be original and stay true to myself instead of following something that a lot of other people are into.
Â
What fictional place would you most like to go?
Terebithia. After seeing the movie I was obsessed and wanted to be able to go to such a magical place.
Â
What's your favorite holiday?
Christmas because I love to spoil my friends and family. I love the lights and the nostalgia that comes along with it.
Â
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?
I would turn room decorating/organization into an Olympic sport and probably win a medal. I love to organize absolutely everything and I enjoy redecorating my room whenever I have a chance. Having a cohesively decorated environment where everything has a place makes me feel really good.
Â
Are you usually early or late?
I have always been someone who is early to everything but after a year in college I find myself running a bit late a lot of the time because there is always so much to be done and not enough time.
Â
Horror or romance?
Romance because horror movies give me nightmares.
Â
Read or watch the movie?
Watch the movie. I do too much reading for school so I love to kick back and watch whenever I can.
Â
Hang gliding or whitewater rafting?
Hang gliding because it is close to flying.
Â
Sushi or tacos?
Sushi. All day. Every day.
Â
What is the most annoying question that people ask you?
The most annoying question people ask me is where I got a piece of clothing or shoes. I just really don't like to match with people so when someone asks I get annoyed that they are going to buy the same thing and then something that used to be unique/original will become a bandwagon or trend.Â
Â
What is something that a lot of people are obsessed with but you just don't get the point?
Social media. I feel like it is so much more important to live your real life than obsessing over how many likes or comments you get in a virtual world. I don't like to focus on comparing myself to others on social media because it's just not real.
