- The matchup will be the 123rd all-time between the teams. The Beavers and Ducks have one of the oldest rivarly series in college football and have met for every year since 1894 except 1900, 1901, 1943 and 1944.
- Oregon leads the all-time series, 65-47-10, and 30-23-3 in games played in Eugene.
- Head coach Jonathan Smith was 2-2 against Oregon as a letterwinner at Oregon State. He and the Beavers were victorious in 1998, 44-41 (2 OTs), and 2000, 23-13, both in Corvallis. OSU lost at Oregon in 1999 (25-14) and 2001 (17-14).

With A Win ...
- The Beavers would win their sixth game and qualify for their first bowl appearance since the 2013 season.
- OSU would guarantee a winning conference record for the first time since going 6-3 in 2012.
- The Beavers would win their fourth game away from home for the first time since the 2013 season.
- Oregon State would win its first game in Eugene since the 2007 season.
Back-To-Back One-Pointers
- Oregon State has played back-to-back one-point games, defeating Arizona State, 35-34, on Nov. 16 before losing to Washington State last weekend, 54-53.
- It's the first time OSU has played back-to-back one-point games since 1998, Jonathan Smith's first year at quarterback. That year, the Beavers lost to Washington, 35-34, and then 20-19 to California.
By Three Points
- Oregon State has played in four games decided by three points or less, going 1-3.
- That's the most games decided by three points or less since 2010, when the Beavers were 2-2.
The RBs
- Artavis Pierce (10th at 2,103 rushing yards) and Jermar Jefferson (12th at 1,984) both feature prominently in Oregon State's career record books.
- Jefferson moved to within 16 yards of 2,000 for his career with a 132-yard rushing effort versus Washington State last weekend.
- The two are attempting to become the first pair of OSU running backs to reach 2,000 career yards in the same season.
- Pierce (114 yards) and Jefferson (105) became the first Oregon State duo to rush for 100 or more yards in the same game since Ryan Nall (221) and Darell Garretson (105) versus California in 2016.
- It's the 18th time Oregon State has had at least two players rush for 100 or more yards, and the seventh time since 2000.
Speaking Of Jefferson
- Jermar Jefferson had his third career four-score game last weekend versus the Cougars. He scored twice via the pass and twice on the ground.
- His previous two four-score efforts - both last season - all came via rushing touchdowns.
- One of those four-touchdown games came against Washington State in Corvallis, giving the now sophomore eight career scores versus the Cougars.
Luton To Hodgins
- Isaiah Hodgins and Jake Luton are now the second-most prolific quarterback and wide receiver tandem in school history. The duo connected on a 5-yard touchdown in the win over Arizona State on Nov. 16. It was the 18th between the two since 2017.
Luton In 2019
- Jake Luton tied a career-best with five touchdown passes last weekend versus Washington State and now has 28 on the season. That's the third-most in a single season at Oregon State, just shy of No. 2 Derek Anderson (29 in 2004) and Sean Mannion (37 in 2013).
- Luton is looking to become just the third OSU QB with 20 or more touchdowns in a season with less than 10 interceptions. He would join Jonathan Smith (20 TDs/7 INTs in 2000) and Sean Canfield (21 TDs/7 INTs in 2009).Â
- Luton has thrown three interceptions in 2019.
- He is looking to become the first Oregon State QB to start every game in a season since Sean Mannion in 2014.
- Luton tied an Oregon State record with four touchdown passes in the first half in the win over Cal Poly, equaling Scott Richardson (1979 vs. Washington State), Derek Anderson (2002 vs. UNLV), Lyle Moevao (2008 vs. Oregon) and Sean Mannion (2013 vs. Colorado).
- The QB has at least two touchdown passes in seven games this season, including four or more four times (five versus both UCLA and Washington State and four each against Cal Poly and Arizona State).
Luton's Career Books
- Jake Luton, on the heels of his five-touchdown effort versus Washington State, now has 42 career touchdown passes at OSU, good for fifth in the program's record books.
- He is 10 shy of Erik Wilhelm for fourth.
