
Oregon State Soccer Teams Receive Team Academic Awards

Kansas City – United Soccer Coaches announced Oregon State men's and women's soccer programs have been awarded the College Team Academic Award on Thursday for the outstanding performance in the classroom.
Oregon State is one of 255 programs to earn the distinction in both the men's and women's programs.
To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2018-19 academic year and are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program.
Oregon State is one of 345 NCAA schools to take the honor on the men's side. The Beavers finished 2018-19 with a team GPA of 3.06 and saw four players take Pac-12 Academic honors at the end of the 2018 season. Oregon State has earned the United Soccer Coaches' Academic Award six times in program history. The Beavers are 5-4 overall, 2-1 in Pac-12 play and will take on No. 2 Stanford (7-1-1, 1-1-0) on Sunday.
OSU is one of 647 NCAA schools to earn the honor on the women's side. Oregon State saw 11 players take Pac-12 Academic honors in 2018 and finished 2018-19 with a team GPA of 3.42. The Beavers have earned the United Soccer Coaches' Academic Award seven times in program history. Oregon State is 8-1-1 overall, 0-1-1 in Pac-12 play and will take on No. 17 Colorado (9-1-1, 1-0-1) on Sunday.
