What aside from football do you enjoy most about Oregon State?
Blake Brandel: "The atmosphere on game day and the brotherhood with my teammates."
What do you like most about Oregon State University, aside from playing football?
BB: "The close-knit community as well as the life long friendships that I have created here."
What has been your favorite class at Oregon State?Â
BB: "Technology Commercialization. I was able to work with a small business and felt that I learned the most I ever have while gaining a true business experience.
How would you describe what it's like to play for Coach Smith and Coach Michalczik?Â
BB: "They push you to become a better player and person everyday. They want to help you in whatever way possible."
Does your number mean anything to you?
BB: "73 was the number I received when I arrived at Oregon State, and I have liked it ever since."
What would you be doing if you didn't play football?
BB: "Hopefully I would be finished with college and working in the business world."
What was your first impression of Oregon State when you were being recruited? How has that changed, if any?
BB: "I grew up a Beaver fan and knew when being recruited that I wanted to be here. I'd say that since being recruited there have been quite a few changes when it comes to the staff, but I know that Coach Smith as well as everyone else involved  has the program going in the right direction."
What teammates do you hang out with away from the field the most?
BB: "Pretty much the entire O-line, Noah Togiai and Jake Luton."
What are your impressions on the new uniforms?
BB: "I think they look really good but also have a bunch of small details that make them meaningful."
If you could meet any historical person past or present, who would it be?
BB: "John Lennon."
What life lessons has football taught you?
BB: "Hard work can fix a lot of problems. Also the power of a team that plays for one another."
What doors has football opened for you that you never thought would be possible?
BB: "The ability to network with Beaver alums. Also a free education that can help me succeed in life."
What does an Oregon State education mean to you?
BB: "My education here at Oregon State has prepared me for the real world by giving me lessons and experiences that I can use in the professional world. My education has also introduced me to a bunch of different people who want to help me succeed."
