AGAINST THE REDHAWKS
• Oregon State is 6-0 all-time against Seattle with the most recent meeting coming in a 2016 sweep of the Redhawks.
PAC-12 HONORS
• Maddie Sheehan was named as the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week on Monday. Sheehan registered 115 assists and directed the Beavers' offense to a 3-0 weekend and an upset of No. 23 San Diego at the SDSU/USD Challenge. She tied her career-high with 44 assists and added career-bests with six kills and five blocks in the win over the Toreros.
ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAMS
• SDSU/USD Challenge - Amy Underdown was chosen as the MVP after leading the team in kills in each match as the Beavers went 3-0 including a five-set upset of No. 23 San Diego. Maddy Gravley was also named to the all-tournament team.
• K-State Invitational - Haylie Bennett and Maddie Sheehan were named to the all-tournament team.
• Iowa State Challenge - Maddie Goings and Lindsey Schell were each named to the Iowa State Challenge All-Tournament Team and Grace Massey was selected as a tournament co-MVP on the season's opening weekend.
LEADING THE PAC
• Libero Grace Massey currently leads the Pac-12 with 4.84 digs per set. She recorded a season-high 29 digs in OSU's win over No. 23 San Diego on Saturday.
• Middle blocker Lindsey Schell ranks third in the conference with 1.36 blocks per set. Schell, who redshirted as a freshman in 2017, has made a strong impact on the Beavers' lineup with senior Kory Cheshire sidelined by injury.
ACES
• Sophomore libero Grace Massey was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week following the opening week of the season. Massey accumulated a conference-high 65 digs at the Iowa State Challenge and was named as a tournament co-MVP.
• Senior Kayla Ellis recently moved up OSU's all-time rankings last week to fifth with 1,290 career digs. She is on pace to move into the top three on OSU's all-time list by the end of the season. She needs 14 digs to tie Shelly Smith (1991-94) for fourth in OSU history with 1,304.
• Senior middle blocker Kory Cheshire ranks tied (Rachel Hochgesang, 1993-96) for 23rd all-time in total blocks at OSU. She needs 12 blocks to move into the top 20 in OSU history.
• Oregon State returned five starters (Haylie Bennett, Kory Cheshire, Maddie Goings, Maddy Gravley and Grace Massey) for 2018. However, several newcomers have carved out key roles from themselves. Junior transfer Amy Underdown has started every match at OH, while freshman Maddie Sheehan has taken over the setting duties recently. In addition, transfers Montanna Gubrud and Allison Hughes have each started matches at setter as well. Beyond the newcomers, redshirt freshman Lindsey Schell has taken over at middle blocker filling in while Cheshire is out due to injury.
